Beautiful mother/daughter bonded pair, Liz and Margot, are looking for the perfect forever home together!
Lizzie (white/tabby) has developed a special bond with one of her kittens, Margot, now 7 months old. Margot has a beautiful brown tabby soft coat that feels like velvet! She loves snoozing in the hammock on the cat tree. She is very chatty, and she’ll let you know when she wants a pat by miaowing at you in her baby voice! Margot has learned her chattiness from her mum, as Liz will miaow and coo when she wants attention, but also when she wants dinner!
You will often find Margot giving Liz full body boofs to show her love and affection! Every morning, Liz lets her foster mum pick her up for a cuddle and a scritch – so with the right family will be very affectionate. Liz shows her enjoyment in her big purr!
Lizzie and Margot both LOVE chasing the red dot, and enjoy a cat nip mouse to hunt and play with. Liz particularly enjoys being brushed, and has graduated from a soft bristle brush to a furminator. Margot has her favourite chair in the lounge, and love to be stroked while laying in the sun. Margot can at times be startled when approached, but don’t take it personally. She will come back so she feels she is control of the pets.
Liz (18 months old) has improved dramatically with her fear of other cats, and currently will trot back into her room when feeling insecure. We would however still suggest a forever home where Liz and Margot are the Queen and Princess of the house, as Liz still shows signs of anxiety around other animals bigger than her. She has very clear signs she is feeling stressed, and her foster mum can easily show you how to read her and ask Liz if she would like to be comforted. She is such an endearing cat once you learn her personality quirks! And her anxiety will only reduce once she is in a home of her own and can feel safe and stable. Please be reassured that her anxiety has never presented in poor toileting habits, and she has always gotten a gold star with her litter box manners!
Due to Lizzie’s (and to a lesser extent, Margot’s) anxious nature, she will need humans who are patient and understanding, as she learns to trust and let her guard down with her new purrents. Lizzie wants love and affection so badly, and when she trusts you she will reward you with endless purrs and smooches.
