Lupin came from a colony in Mt Wellington and was an independent yet wary soul. Having not had much, if any, contact with humans when he was trapped with his siblings at 8 weeks old, he was not quite sure if humans were for him. After lots of TLC and patience in his foster home, Lupin decided he didn’t mind being a companion animal. He would fall asleep in his foster mum’s arms, and perch on her shoulder while she pottered around caring for his fellow foster siblings. When Angela (mum), Joey (son), and family came to meet Lupin it was clear it was a perfect match – Lupin immediately settled in Joey’s arms and fell asleep, and when the rest of the family had a cuddle he was just as relaxed and at ease. Lupin’s foster mum could tell mum and dad would be totally doting on Lupin, but Joey really sealed the deal. He was 100% committed to learning and doing everything right for his new kitten – he wasn’t just going to be a pet, he was going to be his best friend! As you can see, they are two peas in a pod!!
Lupin has been a perfect cat, no trouble at all. He spends time outside but never strays far from the house. He’s a very happy boy 😻
