Lottie is a lovely cat that has had a rough start. She came to me in October very heavily pregnant. She had been asking my co-worker for food and following her cat around, so I lent her a trap and she brought Lottie in to me. Unfortunately her litter passed away from cat flu which they contracted before they were even 10 days old. Lottie herself has been through the wringer, as she also became very ill after giving birth (pneumonia complications from cat flu). We think Lottie's cat flu was caused by calicivirus, so she has l-lysine powder sprinkled in her food (I bought a year's supply on TradeMe for $36) and because she was living with giardia on the streets for so long her digestive lining is still righting itself. She is on Hills i/d which is a gastrointestinal sensitivity food which she is responding well to. Lottie is very vocal and likes to squeak at you when she wants attention. She is an instant purrer when you pick her up for cuddles, and is in love with my cat Henry. She loves cat nip mice, cat trees, laser pointers, and feather teasers. A real gem!
